Dessen Frau ist durch einen von Denis verursachten Unfall ums Leben gekommen. Alfred selbst hat schwere Verletzungen erlitten und kann sich nicht mehr an den Unfall erinnern. Er hat sich der Malerei zugewandt und ist Mitglied einer Ateliergemeinschaft von K\u00fcnstler:innen mit Behinderung. Sei es Alfreds spezieller Charme, sei es die tragische Aura eines Gem\u00e4ldes, das von dem Unfall inspiriert scheint \u2013 nach erstem Widerstreben l\u00e4sst Denis sich in Alfreds Leben hineinziehen. Er wird sogar zu Alfreds Helfershelfer, als gerade das Bild abhandenkommt, an dem Alfred mehr h\u00e4ngt als an allen anderen zusammen. Die Wiederbeschaffung wird f\u00fcr die beiden zum m\u00fchsamen Hindernisparcours &#8211; nicht ohne absurde Momente.
